Very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Monty enjoyed the paddocks, beaches and walks on Dylan’s birthday walk to Laugharne and playing with the collies.  Nice meal with a sea view at the Springwell Inn in Pendine and fish and chips from Georges in St Clears.  Thank for the eggs, potatoes and rhubarb.  Excellent place to stay for all of us.

It’s our first time in Wales and it has been fantastic.  To be staying in such a beautiful cottage, with a view to die for, it is definitely our Fantasy Home by the Sea.  A big thank you to Liz and Gareth for their friendship, eggs and potatoes, absolutely lovely, and for letting me ride Horlicks.  Our week has gone too quickly, but hopefully we will be back.  Maisie has enjoyed herself too, chasing the rabbits in the orchard.  So, a big thank you to you both, stay safe and well xx

What a wonderful place to stay.  So welcoming, including our dogs.  Lovely beaches, lots of places to go and see, and Liz and Gareth were wonderful hosts.  We will be back next year.

What an amazing find!  Beautiful little hideaway, fab hosting, lovely generosity with little touches and to support our canine family member.  Lovely walks, peaceful and serene.  Thank you for having us! We’re looking forward to coming back again when there are vacancies.  Diolch yn fawr!

Thanks for a wonderful week staying in your lovely cottage – we loved the Ginst, Marros and Saundersfoot beaches and exploring Laugharne, Tenby, Narberth & Colby Woodland, and of course relaxing her at the Old Stables with those lovely views.  Hope to be back!  Lovely to meet you and your animals.  Thanks for the hospitality.

A lovely relaxing holiday.  The dogs had a fabulous time and Riva enjoyed first beach, pub and steam train experience! Thanks Liz and Gareth.

The best dog accommodation anywhere – no question.  Liz and Gareth have thought of everything and were the perfect hosts.  The views are amazing – a lovely spot looking down on a great and friendly town.  Our second time in Laugharne, but unlikely to be our last.  Weather pretty good, but remember Wales Doesn’t get that nice green colour without a bit of help.  Thank you for looking after us, on our first holiday since Covid.  Love to the collies!

First time here and had an amazing time! Perfect break and can’t wait to come back. It was our dogs first time away and she couldn’t have been more welcomed as everything is so dog friendly. Cottage is gorgeous and we loved Pendine beach and walking around Laugharne and surroundings

We have just returned from a fabulous short break at Old Stables Cottage. What a location and what a find! Views are amazing. Liz and Gareth are so welcoming. The cottage is perfect. So clean, cosy and has everything you need. Including extras for the dogs. Liz let me ride two of her wonderful horses which was so kind. We are booked to go again later in the year. Can’t wait!

The comments below are before we had to close the cottage at the start of the pandemic. In February 2022 we finally started putting things back into the cottage, which has been furnished more minimally during the pandemic – and that included the Visitor’s Book.

Happy New Year! A very wet and windy start to 2020 thanks to Storm Brendan, but still a wonderful, relaxing holiday as always. Stayed an extra couple of nights this time, so glad we did because weather has been glorious. Even 16 nights isn’t long enough! Thanks for everything Liz and Gareth – see you in August xxx

What an absolutely fantastic fortnight.  Where do you start?  Cottage fully equipped, brilliant facilities (paddock & garden especially appreciated).  Hosts were spot on, friendly without being intrusive and an amazing gift of home grown veg was very much appreciated.  Dogs are absolutely dead on their feet with the walks we found straight from the cottage and the local peaces we found to visit.  We loved, Ginst Point, Pembrey Country Park, Llansteffan beach and castle, Bosherston Lily Ponds, Amroth, Wiseman’s Bridge & Saundersfoot, Botanical Gardens.  Oh and did I mention GINST POINT!!! – fab!  Loved the books too – only managed to read 5 though!  Could have read them all – just my sort of read!  Loved it – our house should be on the market in the next 12 months so we can move here.

Beautiful, peace, bright stars, good beach walks, sound of the waves.  So dog friendly.  Best bucket list for our 2.  Thank you.

What a wonderful relaxing, peaceful location.  Cottage is very comfortable, well equipped.  We had friends for lunch and they were very impressed.  Gareth’s vegetables were superb and much appreciated.  Thank you for everything.

Super cottage, thank you so much for providing our most ideal holiday home.  Well equipped, clean and secure garden and comfy beds.  Liz is friendly and welcoming.  Llansteffan has a lovely beach followed by coffee at the Croft – watch the food prices though!  The beach at Ginst point is vast and great for the dogs, open weekends and after 4.30 weekdays.  Colby Woods is a must for off lead dog walks.  Can’t wait to come back to SJHF Old Stables Cottage xx

We got lucky with the weather, didn’t expect to, but every time we went out it dried up.  Went back to Rosilli Beach, we brought Jewl’s ashes, but still haven’t parted with them.  Thanks for the veg – roast marrow – delicious!! Can recommend the Fox and Hounds at Bancyfelin if you like homemade food and friendly service.  Wiseman’s Bridge Inn also a favourite of ours.  Fab 2 weeks as always, never get tired of this place and never want to go home, but we shall see you again in June and October 2020.  Fully relaxed and wound right down.  Glad to see Gareth on the mend and hopefully I will be back to full vision soon and see the new look garden xxxx

Thank you for provising such a wonderful place to stay with 7 dogs, everything needed is provided and we managed to really relax and chill with the dogs, which normally we can’t do as well in a week.  Very peaceful (except when our dogs were barking for much for which I apologise!)  Ginst Point is wonderful for the Danes to really stretch their legs.  It has given our 15½ year old collie Izzy a new bounce in her legs!  Have told all about this place to all my friends with dogs.  Hope we can come back again.

Wow!! What a super holiday.  Superb location, fab cottage, 1st holiday for the dogs, thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  Just great to see them running free on the beach, especially my lurcher Purdy (can’t do that at home).  We’ve had a fantastic week, weather has been very kind.  Thanks Liz, we will be back.
